So far I've gotten estimates of 600+$ from Canada Post, and 950 from FEdEx and UPS. Seems really steep. Anyway to get that price down? |

Yep, and $600 is right in the ball park. I did Canada Post and I think I ended up around $600 give or take $25. That was about 2 years ago. I believe if you ship through Canada post overseas it actually goes through FedEx, at least thats how it worked when I shipped mine. It was cheaper to send it through CP and it was the same service as Fedex was quoting me for an extra $300. 4-5 day service if I remember right. Also the parcel can't be insured for any more than $1000 through CP. So either insure with someone else or pocket the savings and hope for the best (what I usually do). |

If anyone knows of a way to get guitars overseas for less money I'd love to hear it. I shipped a guitar to Denmark earlier this year and it cost the same, right around $600. |
